Our Team

Victoria is the proud Owner and Managing Director of Camelot Day Nursery, Pre-School & Kids Club, which she established alongside her father in 2011.

With 23 years of experience in childcare and Early Years education, Victoria brings a wealth of knowledge, passion and expertise to her role.

Victoria holds a Level 5 qualification in Early Years Management and is currently studying towards her Master’s degree in Early Years Leadership. She is also the setting’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), is TPP trained and holds additional qualifications in safeguarding, SEND, paediatric first aid, fire safety and health and safety.

Victoria is passionate about providing exceptional standards of childcare and education, supporting her dedicated team and creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Victoria says:

“Camelot has always been so much more than just a nursery to me. Founded alongside my dad in 2011, our dream was to create a welcoming, family-focused environment where children feel safe, happy and loved.

Although we sadly lost Dad in 2023, his passion for education and the values we built Camelot upon remain at the heart of everything we do.

I am incredibly proud of the nursery we have created, the wonderful team behind it and the families who have become part of our Camelot family. My passion remains the same as it was from the very beginning – to make a positive difference to children’s lives and give every child the very best start.”

Jim Hawkins was the much-loved Co-Founder and Director of Camelot Day Nursery, Pre-School & Kids Club, which he proudly established alongside his daughter, Victoria, in 2011.

A fully qualified teacher with 50 years of experience in education, Jim brought an exceptional wealth of knowledge, experience and a genuine passion for children’s learning and development to Camelot.

Jim played an instrumental role in establishing Camelot and overseeing its development, helping to build the strong foundations and family values that remain central to the nursery today.

Sadly, Jim passed away in 2023. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through Camelot, the values he helped establish and the countless children and families whose lives he helped shape.

His passion for education, belief in every child’s potential and commitment to creating a nurturing, family-focused environment continue to inspire the way Camelot is led and developed today.

Jim will forever remain a cherished part of the Camelot family. His vision helped create our beginning, his values continue to guide our journey, and his legacy will always be part of our future. ❤️

Having spent over 20 years in Operations and Project Management I have worked long hours away from my family and it has taught me how important a quality childcare facility is.

Joining Camelot in 2015 was an easy choice for me as my son had spent the previous 3 years here and had gone from strength to strength in that time.  It is so wonderful to see the work we are doing having a real impact on the lives of the local children and their families, and I couldn’t wish for a more dedicated and passionate team to work with.

Hello, my name is Amy, the Nursery Manager.

I have been working at Camelot since 2013 and absolutely love my job, providing the highest level of care.

I have been lucky enough to have lots of training opportunities, these include Level 3 Practitioner, SENCO Level 3, Behaviour Management, First Aid, Safeguarding Level 3, and Fire Safety.

I love messy activities and Singing/Dancing with the children.

I'm Nicki and I have worked at Camelot since July 2013. 
Since gaining my level 3 diploma in 2005, I have worked with a range of age groups, regularly caring for children and families throughout their time during the early years and seeing children develop and florish into individual young characters.

Hi, I’m Rachel!

I’m the Room Senior of Arthur’s Class here at Camelot, where I have been part of the team since May 2025.

I’ve worked in childcare since 2010 and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. I’m currently working towards my Level 3 SENCO qualification to further develop my knowledge and skills in supporting children with additional needs. I’m also Paediatric First Aid trained and a qualified Fire Marshal.

I absolutely love working with preschool-aged children! Every day brings something new, from their wonderful imaginations and funny little conversations to watching their confidence grow.

One of the most rewarding parts of my role is helping children develop the skills they need for their next big adventure - starting school! I love being part of their journey, celebrating their achievements and making sure they have lots of fun and laughter along the way!

Hello, my name is Vicky and I have worked at Camelot since December 2011. I started as a student and then became a full time member of staff when I completed my level 3 childcare qualification in June 2012.

I have experience of working within our Guinevere’s, Arthur’s and Mini Merlin’s rooms.

I love to see all the children happy and learning new things every day. I especially like doing cooking activities and sensory play.

Hi my name is Anjali, I joined Camelot in 2019, and have worked with children of all ages within the nursery. 

I studied Early Childhood Studies at university and qualified as a Level 6 practitioner. Since my university degree i have completed First Aid training, Fire Marshall training, and have recently completed an educational course with Elklan- 'Speech and Language Support for 3-5's Level 3.'

I enjoy messy play, outdoor play and makaton signing with the children.

I am very excited to take on my new role as Senior of Arthur's, and to be part of the children's everyday learning and development here at Camelot. 

Hello, I am Jaymee, I have worked in childcare since 2015 and I have been at Camelot since February 2016.

Since joining Camelot I have enjoyed working with the children of all ages, but have been mainly based in Kid’s Club (Lancelot’s).

I love watching the children grow with confidence and develop. I especially enjoy carrying out messy activities and arts and crafts with the children.
